I had a wonderful opportunity to participate in a podcast at Game Changers in Medicine about the "story of insulin." It is a fascinating story, and my role was to represent the millions and millions of people with type 1 diabetes (mostly children) who were literally given the gift of life by the discovery, isolation and purification of this hormone.
